Digital accessibility

An accessible website is one that enables people with disabilities to access and use its content and features without difficulty. Digital accessibility is a way to promote inclusion and diversity by ensuring that no one is excluded from accessing online information and services.

In an effort to provide the best possible experience for all its users, AFD is working to make navigation on its website afd.fr more accessible by complying with the Référentiel général d’amélioration de l’accessibilité, France’s general guidelines for improving digital accessibility, known by its acronym RGAA. 

AFD is committed to making its websites, mobile applications, intranet, extranet, and software packages accessible, in accordance with Article 47 of Law No. 2005-102 of February 11, 2005. 

With support from the AccessiWay agency in its digital accessibility approach, AFD is implementing the following strategy and actions:

Compliance status

The accessibility rate of the website https://www.afd.fr/en is 60%. It is thus partially compliant with version 4.1.2 of the RGAA, due to the non-compliances and exemptions listed below.

Test results

The compliance audit conducted on March 19, 2026, by AccessiWay reveals that the website meets 60% of the criteria of version 4.1.2 RGAA.

• 4.1 – Does every pre-recorded time-based media have, where necessary, a text transcript or audio description (except in specific cases)?: Some pre-recorded media do not provide a text transcript or audio description where required.
• 6.1 – Is every link explicit (except in specific cases)?: Some links do not clearly indicate their destination or purpose.
